JR. KITCHEN ASSISTANT (Commissary Production Staff)

Responsible for the preparation and cooking food items according to food safety and quality standards for Signature Dish Factory (SDF) products.


1.Performs activities related to the assigned area and as prescribed in the recipe book:
a.Conducts mise en place to ensure that ingredients are ready for processing and clean utensils are available.
b.Uses kitchen tools and equipment to sauté, boil, fry, pressure cook and steam food items, as prescribed.
c.Conducts inspection and quality checks for processed or cooked items before endorsing them to the next section
2.Forwards finished work items to the next station with appropriate tagging
3.Records work orders in a log sheet in a timely manner
4.Maintains personal hygiene and the cleanliness and sanitation of the assigned work area, tools, and equipment according to GMP, 5S and company standards
5.Completes checklist (e.g., supervisor’s checklist, hygiene, stock card, Quality Disposition Report (QDR), tickler and OT forms) as necessary and forwards to Immediate Superior for signing.
6.Alerts Officer or Quality Control to any stock deficiencies, deviation from quality standards, or issues with tools or equipment.
7.Monitors room temperature to avoid spoilage and maintain quality of food items.
8.Endorses work order and other pending issues to the next shift.
9.Attends and conducts meetings (e.g., shift or mapping), as needed.
10.Participates in inventory activities, as needed.
11.Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.


1.Completion of at least two years of studies in college or 2 years vocational course (Food-related courses are preferred)
2.Basic knowledge in cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment
3.Basic knowledge in Food Preparation, Food Safety and 5S Principles
4.Flexible, can work on shifting schedule; graveryard shift, during weekends, holidays, and on extended hours
5.Without allergies on food
6.Willing to be assigned in FTI Taguig (New Arca South)
